SCENIC TOUR - After arriving at Malaga airport we were greeted & taken to our accommodation by Andy our tour guide for our two day Scenic tour. The first day we spent relaxing in our Spanish surroundings with hospitibal company given by Ray & Mel the owners of the B&B.
Day 2 we started with a full introduction to the bikes at Andys home & garage where we set off on a full day of experiences i can quite honestly say were breath taking at times & amongst some of the best scenery i have even seen. Andy was very very knowledgebul in the terrain & the trails & best of all catered both myself & my friend Dans knowledge of off-roading to a tee At times it tested us & at times it was relaxing what more of a combination could you ask for!
Day 3 off we went again seeing sights we hadn't seen the day before with a full days riding & lunch provided as it was the day before. An afternoon treat including a swim in a man made lake made a day which was absolutely brilliant.
Overall I have to say I have experienced many adrenalin activities but to find a holiday that was about Trail riding with scenery to match and a great tour guide to show us this has been one of, if not my best, holiday ever!
Thank you Trailworld & thank you Ray & Mel (B&B) for our stay.
A special thank you to Andy our tour guide & i hope to see you all again in the near future!
If you want a trail riding holiday & no matter what experience you have this is the one for you, a fantastic holiday!

SCENIC TOUR - Fantastic couple of days!
Day one and Andy led the way up into the SNOW ! and yes it was very cold, later we dropped down to warmer weather but wetter, as we 'Found' the river ride that he had been looking for, even more fun as we explored the river down as far as the coast.
Second day was even more fun, and ever varying terrain. Great stuff.
When you book a tour there are a lot of variables, will the kit be any good, will the bikes be any good, what level of skill will be required, will I get left behind, etc etc, Andalucian Trail Tours tick all the boxes. The tour is pitched just right for your skill level, the bikes and kit are perfect, but above all Andy is a great guy - its more like riding with a mate than a tour guide, this gives the tour that special feeling, something you cannot buy.
Thinking of booking a tour? Do it, you will not be disappointed with Andalucian Trail Tours.
Thanks again Andy I will be back, hope you are not too worried by that! - Mr & Mrs Budgell, Milton Keynes
SCENIC TOUR - Just got back from the scenic tour, I have had an absolutly fantastic time led expertly by Andy. Andy was a great guy to be with, a wealth of knowledge and experiance of all the local terrain. I travelled out alone and was meet at the airport by Andy and taken to my accommodation for the next few days, turned out my digs were run by a couple who lived less than 3 miles away from where I live! Excellent hosts and brill food!
Each day was a new route, climbing up through woodlands, cobbled paths, loose stones and gravel, river beds, olive plantations, just about every terrain you could possibly think of, stopping regularly for drinks and info of where we were etc. Each corner/mountain we climbed we were greeted by spectacular views, blue clear skys, sunshine, and not one drop of rain (just like home, not!)
A huge investment has been put into this, from bikes to riding gear, to suit everyones different size and shapes, Andy has spent hour upon hour finding all the different varied terrains to explore, and I am sure you will reap the rewards for all the effort you have put in to this. I will certainly return, hope you all the best, thanks especially to Andy for such a fantastic time, the scenery was unbelievable!
Best wishes - Paul Lamrick, Cwmbran, South Wales.
SCENIC TOUR - Andalucia is a wonderful place to ride offroad, mountains lakes olive groves scenic villages and friendly Spaniards, no police or ramblers. As a novice offroader everything was explained to me, water crossings, rock steps, steep ascents and descents but Andy is a great teacher. I was never rushed or pressurized only encouraged and corrected. The end result was a brilliant 2 day ride through rural Spain captured on film by Andy, i cant wait to get back and will be booking again shortly. I would definitely recommend this experience to any riders thinking of trail riding in Spain as i couldn't fault the professionalism and content of the tour, and the arranged accommodation was excellent and very reasonably priced. Thanks very much and hope to see you soon. - Stuart Coning a very satisfied customer
TERRAIN TOUR - If, like me, you need to read about a thousand reviews before finally committing to giving something a go then hopefully my comments will go someway towards convincing you that this tour is exactly the right choice.
I have just returned from 3 days riding in Competa with Trevor, our guide for the Terrain Tour and I can honestly say there is nothing more I could have wished for from a riding experience.
The Location:
Competa is about 1 ½ hours from Malaga on the bus, which we decided was the most cost effective travel option (about EUR3.00 compared to EUR70.00 to hire a cab – although a cab does take half the time). After winding your way up the switchback mountain roads (pretty scary in a bus I can tell u!!) you arrive in a traditionally Spanish whitewashed town with a healthy selection of local eateries and ale houses. Be warned though, if you are looking for raucous nights Puerto Banus style then you have come to the wrong place!! We stayed in the Balcon Hotel (organised for us by Andy) and the place was really friendly with clean, ample rooms with fantastic views over the mountains and valley below.
The Kit:
On the first morning of riding, we all pitched over to Trevor’s house where he had the Beta’s and riding kit waiting for us. I can’t stress enough how tidy these bikes and the riding kit is. The bikes were like new and expertly maintained – they didn’t miss a beat on any of the 3 days we rode them – and the clothing/armour/helmets were all clean, fresh and available in many different sizes. One of my concerns before booking this tour was whether they just used some nice looking bikes on the website but in fact gave you some old dog when you arrived but I can honestly say that what you see is what you get. Awesome!!
The Terrain:
Endless! There is no other word for it. We rode for approx. 160km a day and I would say 80-90% of that was off road. Whether you were blasting through dusty tracks through the olive groves, winding up a rocky road with seriously hairy drops or negotiating the best route through a river bed, the tour had everything to keep you amused. Trev will also show you some pretty crazy hills off the side of the tracks, which you can have a go at if you’ve got the balls – of course, Trev makes them look easy!! As for pace, at no point did we feel we were being held back by an overly cautious guide. Trev was fantastic, showing responsibility around houses, busier trails and built up areas (by built up I mean 3 houses!!) but letting you ride to the edge of your limits where it was appropriate to do so.
The People:
Probably the most important comment about this tour is the fact that never once did I feel like I was a paying customer. By that I mean, whether enjoying beers with Trev and the guys in the evening or out on the trails in the day, this whole trip felt like a bunch of mates out riding. It’s a great feeling and one I hope they will never lose. - Mark Blair
TERRAIN TOUR - This feedback is aimed at anyone thinking of doing a trail bike riding experience,I have done many of these tours in other countrys when on holidays, and I can honestly say that not one of the others comes close to these guys. From the start the team make you feel relaxed and are really friendly, giving you the proper protective gear, getting you familiarised with the bikes and explaining the routes before you set off.
On the terrain tour you will ride a Beta RR 450 which I think is one of the best enduro bikes I have ridden, so much so that I've bought one my self . The mountain trails which the tour takes you on are stunning but at the same time challenging, tour guide (big trev), with his expert knowledge of the mountains, ensures all riding levels are catered for along the way.
We first went over to Cómpeta, near Malaga, in January on the Chris Hockey school which was ace,we liked the experience so much that we went back out there towards the end of April (misses not happy), and we are hoping to go back sometime in September.
So, my final words are, if you want an experience like this you need look no further than TrailWorld (Andalucian Trail Tours). We know cos we've done it twice now and we lovs it see but! (welsh talk).
Thanks to Paul, Trevor, Andy and Bob for making the trips A1 see yal soon! - Tristan Griffiths and Ron Morgan - Bridgend, South Wales
TERRAIN TOUR - I am just writing to thank you guys for such a fantastic weekend. All 10 of the lads had their expectations exceeded with both the riding and the very professional guiding. Trev was simpy a brilliant host/guide who kept the pace rapid but safe, made sure that any hazards were pointed out and handled the big group with an excellent attitude. I would go as far as saying that the general consensus of the group was that this was the best riding we have every done and that Trev was also the best guide we have had the pleasure of using. There is no doubt that we will be out again soon. Once again, thanks for an amazing experience. - Woodgnome - on behalf of The Green Lane Crew.
TERRAIN TOUR - Thanks again from all the lads for a brilliant two days trail riding out in Spain - we had a great time and hope to come again soon. The whole holiday more than lived up to our expectations and we'll be recommending the Tour to all our mates!! Thanks for the compliments on our riding skills. - Nicholas Humby & Friends
SCENIC & TERRAIN TOUR - Thank you for an excellent weekend in Spain, I cannot thank you, Trevor and Andy enough for re-arranging the schedule on our second day to allow two of our party to drop down to the novice course (they found the experts course too difficult, although accomplished trials riders they could not get used to the height of the enduro bikes and did not like being so close to steep drops).
Trevor's knowledge of the area is amazing - the scenery and the views are spectacular the terrain we had to negotiate was varied ,sometimes rocky streams beds, sometimes fast open tracks, in all an excellent two days, good bikes, good trails, good organisation, good food, good hotel and bloody nice people. - Ray & Friends
TERRAIN TOUR - It was awesome - the bikes are really good and the tracks were fantastic the first day was up into the mountains - loads of fast rocky tracks - you blast up to third / fourth then hang the back end out into the corner around a 90 degree corner then power slide out. The tracks up along the sides of the mountains were basically 200 - 400 yard straights followed by 90 left / right then another 200/400 yard straight with another 90 left / right - this would continue around 100-200 bends as you make your way up and down the mountains.
We must have covered about 120 miles on the saturday up in the mountains - we covered loads of fast twisty stone tracks with also some excellent hill climbs and enduro tracks - which were brilliant and much more my cup of tea. The guide 'the flying carrot - aka Trevor was a great guide and kept the pace exactly right.
The second day we went towards the coast and covered some great tracks - including a great motocross track where we could get a great sweat on!!
All told it was an absolutly amazing weekend and far exceeded even our high expectations - I would recommend the tour to anyone from novice to expert and its a great area - we were also sunbathing on the beach on Friday and Monday!
If your thinking of going - stop thinking and start going!!!! life is not a spectator sport - get out and ride.... - Nick
SCENIC TOUR - By Novicedirt from Shropshire UK on 25th Oct 2006
Novicedirt's Ratings Value for money - 9/10
Overall rating - 9/10
Recommended - Yes
Good Points - Bike, all kit (helmet & goggles, boots, protector, trousers and shirt etc) provided along with lunch each day. Fantastic views, great trails, and as a novice, the ability to ride at the pace I was comfortable with.
Bad Points - Didn't find any.
General Comments - I took this trip for several reasons. I am a novice at off-road motorbike riding and was nervous, but I was offered just what I needed from Andalucian Trail Tours, which was perfect. In mid-October when I had my holiday the weather in the UK was unlikely to be the dry, sunny and a warm 20C degrees that I experienced. Lastly, it is around 70kms Granada, where I went for a week.

Good Points - Just got back from a few days riding the trails with Andalucian Trail Tours. Absolutely brilliant fun! Way better than anything in the UK as there's no hassle with ramblers etc! Brand new pukka Enduro bikes, all new kit and 1st class tuition, made me a better rider after an hour, let alone the 2 days!
Well looked after by all the staff - made to feel part of the family, and even had a meal at the guides' house, as I was travelling alone!
SCENIC TOUR - Can't wait to go back later this year.
Bad Points - NONE
General Comments - Everything about the set-up of Andalucian Trail Tours motorbike holidays is geared towards guests having a great time, and they've got it spot-on. Plenty of time to see the scenery and also plenty of help learning the ropes. If you've never ventured further off-road than your driveway give it a go - you'll not regret it!
